About the Grange
Caledonia Grange #9 is a Chapter of Vermont State Grange. Chartered in 1872, we are the oldest continuously operating Grange in New England. We organize and host a range of community events that bring together our local community and promote the rich agricultural heritage of Vermont. We run youth programs and educational workshops to engage and educate the next generation about the importance of agriculture and rural life. Our Grange Hall in East Hardwick is a historic building that was constructed in 1909. As the primary public meeting space in our town, it is used for concerts, lectures, meetings of community organizations, performances and dances. A major focus of our Grange is to make the building more accessible and better suited to a wide range of year-round activities, while maintaining its historic architectural character.
